- The Nexpro RD 20 pill treats acid reflux. It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which esomeprazole medicine by itself is unable to treat. Esomeprazole and domperidone are combined in it. In GERD, stomach acid runs back up into the food pipe and produces chest pain, belching, nausea, and heartburn. The Nexpro RD 20 capsule lowers gastrointestinal mortality by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It lessens the amount of stomach content that flows back into the food pipe.

It shouldn't be taken after eating because food affects how well this medication is absorbed. Therefore, it should ideally be consumed at least an hour before eating.
