- Adult patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are not sufficiently responsive to topical beta blockers or prostaglandin analogues are advised to take LUPITROS TZ to lower their excessive intraocular pressure. When the pressure inside the eye is higher than normal, it's called ocular hypertension (above 16mmHg). A chronic, progressive eye disease called open-angle glaucoma is primarily brought on by high intraocular pressure (pressure in the eyes). If left untreated, it may result in permanent eyesight loss.
